HR Manager, UK
6 month Fixed-Term Contract | Hybrid | UK
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the UK people agenda and be a trusted partner to our leadership team and managers.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of autonomy and variety. Strong employee relations experience is essential, as you’ll take the lead on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and capability matters, while providing practical, commercially minded HR advice.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we do HR in the UK, improve our processes and support the business as we continue to grow and evolve.
What You’ll Do
- Be the go-to HR partner for managers and employees across the UK.
- Own end-to-end employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and capability cases.
- Advise and coach managers through people challenges and formal processes.
- Keep our HR policies and practices aligned with UK employment legislation.
- Manage the employee journey from recruitment through to offboarding.
- Support payroll, benefits, pensions and employee records.
- Lead and improve UK HR processes, systems and ways of working.
- Support performance, reward, talent and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support restructures, redundancies, TUPE and acquisitions where required.
- Help integrate new teams and build scalable people practices as we grow.
- Make smart use of technology, automation and AI to improve HR delivery.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an experienced HR professional who is confident working independently, comfortable challenging and coaching managers, and able to balance employee needs with commercial priorities.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrable UK generalist HR experience, including HR Manager or senior HR Adviser experience.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Significant employee relations experience across disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and capability matters.
- Experience working autonomously in a standalone or lean HR environment.
- Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- A pragmatic approach to HR, with good judgement around risk and confidentiality.
- Experience with HR systems, payroll and employee data.
It would be great if you also have:
- CIPD qualification or are working towards it.
- Experience with TUPE, redundancy, restructures or acquisitions.
- Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed or buy-and-build environment.
- Experience working across international or matrix organisations.
- Experience using AI or automation to improve HR processes.
What We Offer
- 26 days’ annual leave
- Private Medical Insurance
- Flexible and hybrid working
- A high level of autonomy and ownership
- The opportunity to shape and improve our UK people practices
- The chance to work as part of a growing international business
Hybrid Working
This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work from our UK office at least two days per week.
